Celebrating 81 Years of Excellent Music Services for Medway Pupils
Medway Youth Choirs
Medway Youth Choir was launched on 5 July 2015, after the success of a vocal and orchestral workshop with professional musicians and singers from world-renowned choral ensemble The Sixteen, held in January.
Since September 2018 we have expanded our provision under the banner of Medway Youth Choirs. This includes several Outreach Projects in Secondary Schools, alongside Music Centre and Holiday Course Choirs. Existing provision for singers at KS1 and KS2 continues in the form of our Festivals, taking place across Medway throughout the year.
We are very pleased to confirm an ongoing partnership with The Sixteen, and are delighted that Medway Youth Choirs are able to continue to benefit from the support of their professional singers and leaders.

Entry Requirements
Singing and choral qualifications are not required, however you do need to be able to read music to a basic level. Fluent sight readers are welcome and encouraged. Please tell us a little bit about your singing experience on your application form. This could be singing in school, church or Music Centre choirs or having singing lessons.
There is no lower age limit for the Medway Youth Choirs, although we would generally recommend female singers to be around 14 and above. Male singers must have a broken voice. The choir is open to anyone up to and including university age singers. Medway Youth Choirs is free to join.
