About the event
Launched in 2015 after a hugely successful workshop with the world-renowned ensemble The Sixteen, the Medway Youth Orchestra has grown into one of the most exciting opportunities for young musicians in the area.
Rehearsing every Saturday during term time at MMA’s Saturday Music Centre, MYO gives players the chance to work together on inspiring repertoire, develop ensemble skills, and perform at a high level.
We are proud to maintain a special partnership with The Sixteen, offering our young musicians unique insights and the chance to be inspired by one of the UK’s leading ensembles.
MYO is open to orchestral instrumentalists at Grade 4 standard and above – perfect for those ready to take their playing to the next level in a supportive and ambitious environment.
